The Studio

Several years after I opened my business in the Ann Arbor area, I created my new studio in a turn-of the century barn perched high on a bluff overlooking the Huron River. I renovated the building by installing new hickory flooring, adding floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Huron River, painting the walls a warm neutral color, and adding comfy, cozy furnishings. The result is a welcoming place to create beautiful portraits of children, seniors, and their families. I find that using a combination of natural, diffuse light from the windows and warm, professional studio lighting is the best way to capture the details that define a portrait as truly fabulous.
